The Utah State University Aggies won the 9th Annual Gildan New Mexico Bowl against the University of Texas, El Paso Miners, 21-6. This year’s bowl game was the highest attended Gildan New Mexico Bowl since 2010 with an attendance of 28,275. This win was the culmination of USU of Utah State’s second winningest season in school history. Utah State rushed for all three touchdowns. UTEP’s 6 points were the result of two field goals. Offensive MVP of the Game was Kent Myers. Defensive MVP of the Game was Zach Vigil.

Utah State was crowned the Survey Says champions at the annual team dinner hosted by the Albuquerque Convention Center and catered by Rudy’s BBQ. The game, played like Family Feud, has been won by the last two straight Gildan New Mexico Bowl champions.

The Gildan New Mexico Bowl Executive Board, select partners and the local media gathered at the Canyon Club at Four Hills this afternoon for a formal luncheon and press conference with the head coaches and athletics directors for this year's participating teams.

ESPN Events and the Gildan New Mexico Bowl announce that the UTEP Miners and the Utah State Aggies have accepted invitations to the ninth annual game to be played on Saturday, Dec. 20. The bowl game, featuring a program from Conference USA and the Mountain West, respectively, will kick off at 12:20 p.m. MT at University Stadium in Albuquerque, N.M. and air nationally on ESPN and ESPN Radio.

Memphis clips BYU in 2OT win capped by brawl

Paxton Lynch accounted for seven touchdowns including a scoring pass to Roderick Proctor in the second overtime, Jake Elliott made a 55-yard field goal to force that extra session and Memphis topped BYU 55-48 in the inaugural Miami Beach Bowl on Monday.
